Refund & Cancellation Policy

At MGA Foundation, we are committed to transparency and donor trust. This Refund & Cancellation Policy outlines the conditions under which a donation refund may be requested and processed.
1. Nature of Donations
All contributions made to MGA Foundation are voluntary charitable donations intended to support our social welfare programmes. As a registered NGO, funds received are immediately directed toward our ongoing activities including education, livelihood, community development, and women empowerment.
2. General Non-Refund Policy
As a general rule, donations to MGA Foundation are non-refundable. Once a donation is made and processed, it is considered final and will be used for the stated charitable purposes. We encourage donors to review their donation details carefully before completing the transaction.
3. Exceptional Circumstances for Refund
A refund request may be considered only under the following exceptional circumstances:
- Duplicate Transactions: If a donor is charged more than once for the same donation due to a technical error.
- Erroneous Transactions: If a donation was made in error (e.g., incorrect amount entered significantly different from the intended amount).
- Unauthorised Transactions: If a donation was made without the donor's knowledge or consent due to fraud or unauthorised use of payment credentials.
- Payment Gateway Failures: If the amount was debited from the donor's account but not received by MGA Foundation.
4. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, donors must contact us within 7 days of the transaction date by:
- Sending an email to mgafoundation2001@gmail.com with the subject line "Refund Request – [Transaction ID]".
- Providing the following details: full name, email address used for donation, transaction ID or payment reference number, amount donated, and reason for the refund request.
5. Refund Processing
- All refund requests will be reviewed within 5–7 business days of receipt.
- If approved, the refund will be processed to the original payment method within 7–10 business days.
- MGA Foundation reserves the right to approve or decline any refund request at its sole discretion.
- Approved refunds will be credited to the original source of payment (bank account, credit/debit card, UPI, etc.).
6. Cancellation of Recurring Donations
If you have set up a recurring donation and wish to cancel it, please contact us at mgafoundation2001@gmail.com at least 3 business days before the next scheduled donation date. We will process the cancellation promptly. Please note that donations already processed before the cancellation request cannot be refunded.
7. Tax Receipts
If a refund is processed for a donation for which a tax exemption receipt has already been issued under Section 80G, the donor will be responsible for any adjustments required in their tax filings. MGA Foundation shall issue a revised or cancelled receipt as needed.
